Commentary |
Remarks: Proctor did not have numbered editions but R.B., at times, placed numbers of their castings on bronzes. The number 15 underneath is their edition casting number. The 1905 after the foundry identification is when Roman Bronze started casting Proctor bronzes. See Montreal Museum of Fine Art for information on the R.B.W. casting #14. Roman Bronze records show this #15 Stalking Panther was cast in 1910 the same day as the #14 that is owned by the Montreal Museum. The metal testing with an XRF tracer returned identical results. |
